Aušra trained in Lithuania, where the course runs for years rather than weeks and most of that time is spent with your hands in somebody's hair. She has been doing the job ever since.
She took the studio at Oaklea so she could work the way she was taught. One person in at a time, nobody sitting waiting their turn, and enough time to finish properly. It also means the room is quiet, which a lot of people say is the best part.
A good bit of what comes through the door is putting right what went wrong somewhere else. Colour gone brassy, nails lifting after four days, a fringe that was never going to sit. Bring it in and tell her what happened.
She speaks English and Lithuanian.
What she does most
- Colour, including corrections, lightening and grey coverage
- Gel, BIAB, acrylic and hard gel
- E-file and Russian manicures
- Keratin and other smoothing treatments
- Waxing, everything except intimate
Files and e-file bits are single use. Everything else gets sterilised between clients, and there is always a patch test before colour.

How long to allow
A cut runs about an hour. Colour is anywhere from ninety minutes to most of an afternoon. She will tell you honestly when you ring.
Two languages
English and Lithuanian, whichever you are more comfortable in.
